On March 15, 2023, Ambassador Hou Yue met Rector Svein Stølen and Vice Rector Mette Halskov Hansen of the University of Oslo.

Ambassador Hou said that the University of Oslo plays a leading role in promoting academic cooperation between the two countries. China is ready to work with Norway to deepen cooperation in education and scientific research. It is hoped that the University of Oslo will continue to be a pioneer of academic cooperation, a knowledge hub for China studies and make greater contributions to enhancing mutual understandings.

Rector Stølen and Vice Rector Hansen warmly welcomed Ambassador Hou's visit and briefed her on the history of the University of Oslo and the cooperation with China. They expressed their satisfaction with the rapid reboot of educational collaborations between the two countries and are willing to continue the cooperation with Chinese universities and strengthen academic exchanges between the two countries.
