On 23 March, H. E. Ambassador-designate Xiao Jianguo visited the Hokkian Association Brunei Darussalam and had amicable talks with Permanent Honorary Chairman Lim Han Chiong, the incumbent Chairman Peng Yan Hoe as well as vice chairmen and council members.

Ambassador Xiao sang a high praise of the Association on its efforts in promoting the economic and social development of Brunei Darussalam and the bilateral exchanges and cooperation and looked forward to making joint efforts to contribute to the further development of China-Brunei ties and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

Lim Han Chiong， Peng Yan Hoe and others welcomed Ambassador Xiao’s assumption of duty in Brunei Darussalam and introduced the Association’s history and work, indicated that the Hokkian Association Brunei Darussalam will continuously serve the development of Brunei-China friendship and cooperation.
