On the occasion of the International Chinese Language Day on April 20, Ambassador He Rulong attended the Icelandic division of the 2024 "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Language Proficiency Competition for College and Secondary School Students and the Chinese Language Show for Primary School Students and presented awards to the winners.

There was a full house at the venue of the competition. The contestants demonstrated Chinese speaking, martial arts, traditional Chinese painting, singing, dancing and other talents. Former award-winners and the Chinese class for Chinese in Iceland also performed Sichuan Opera face-changing, chorus  and others. Their wonderful performances won rounds of applauses from the audience. Lucky draws had also been arranged. Bathed in a lively atmosphere, the audience was impressed with this interactive, interesting and fun-laden cultural event.
