On February 22, 2023, Assistant Foreign Minister Hua Chunying met with Shilpak Ambule, the Joint Secretary of the East Asia Division of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs and the Office of the External Affairs Minister, who came to China to for the 26th Meeting of Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination (WMCC) on China-India Border Affairs. They exchanged views on China-India relations, the situation on the border  between the two countries, and other topics.
