On March 20, 2023, Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Xue Bing met with Minister of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs of Kenya Dr. Alfred N. Mutua at the Kenyan Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs. Chinese Ambassador to Kenya Zhou Pingjian was present.

Xue Bing briefed on China’s Two Sessions and exchanged in-depth views with the Kenyan side on China-Kenya relations and the implementation of the Outlook on Peace and Development in the Horn of Africa, among other topics.

Mutua extended warm congratulations on the success of the Two Sessions of China. He expressed that the Kenyan side attaches great importance to developing relations with China, highly values the Outlook on Peace and Development in the Horn of Africa initiated by China, and stands ready to support and cooperate with China in implementing the Outlook and building a Horn of peace and development, and work with China to build an even closer China-Africa community with a shared future.
