President Xi Jinping Appoints New Ambassadors

President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping announced the appointment of the following new Ambassadors in line with the decisions adopted by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress:

I. Zhao Xing was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Afghanistan, replacing Wang Yu.

II. Jiang Zaidong was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, replacing Nong Rong.

III. Gong Tao was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Hungary, replacing Qi Dayu.

IV. Zhou Limin was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Kiribati, replacing Tang Songgen.

V. Wang Wei was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Argentine Republic, replacing Zou Xiaoli.

VI. Huang Yazhong was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, replacing Wang Gang.

VII. Shen Jian was appointed Deputy Permanent Representative of the People's Republic of China to the United Nations Office at Geneva and other International Organizations in Switzerland, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary for Disarmament Affairs, replacing Li Song.

VIII. Guo Xiaomei (female) was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Estonia, replacing Li Chao.

IX. Yu Bo was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Honduras.

X. Zhu Jingyang was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Colombia, replacing Lan Hu.
