Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Jiang Yu's Remarks on the Groundless Report about the China-India Boundary Talks
Updated: August 09, 2009 13:00

Q: A Hong Kong media reported the other day that China would only get 28% of its disputed territory with India according to China's "bottom line" for the boundary talks. Could you confirm?

A: The speculative report by certain media on the China-India boundary talks is totally groundless.

China's position on the China-India boundary issue is consistent and clear. China stands ready to work with India in the spirit of mutual understanding and accommodation with the view to seeking for a fair, reasonable and mutually acceptable solution on the basis of the Agreement on the Political Parameters and Guiding Principles for the Settlement of the China-India Boundary Question.
