Q: What is China's comment on the China-related part in the Country Reports on Terrorism 2010 released by the US recently?

A: Terrorism is the public scourge of the whole world, to which China also falls victim. China supports and participates actively in the international counter-terrorism cooperation, making significant contributions to the international combat against terrorism, as the crackdown on the "East Turkistan" terrorist forces is an important part of it.

The Chinese Government always maintains that the international counter-terrorism cooperation should be enhanced on the basis of the UN Charter, international law and other norms governing international relations, and disapproves of linking terrorism with certain country, nation or religion. China is ready to strengthen counter-terrorism cooperation with the US under the principle of equality and mutual benefit. Meanwhile, China's concern over the "East Turkistan" issue should be respected in real earnest. We oppose "double standards".
