On November 4, 2024, Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Bin met with Turkmen Ambassador to China Parakhat Durdyev. The two sides had an exchange of views on bilateral relations, high-level exchanges and practical cooperation.

Liu Bin said that under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the China-Turkmenistan comprehensive strategic partnership has been taken to a new level. China is ready to work with Turkmenistan to earnestly implement the important common understandings reached between the leaders of the two countries, continue to promote mutually beneficial cooperation in key areas, support Turkmenistan in hosting successful activities within the framework of the Year of Culture in China, and push forward the building of a China-Turkmenistan community with a shared future.

Parakhat Durdyev said that Turkmenistan is willing to work with China to take the common understandings reached between the top leaders of the two countries as the guide to further strengthen exchanges at all levels, deepen cooperation in various fields, hold a series of activities of the Year of Culture of Turkmenistan and jointly promote the continuous development of bilateral relations.
