On May 23, 2025, Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Bin, upon invitation, attended the Independence Day reception hosted by the Embassy of Georgia in China.
Liu Bin extended congratulations on Georgia's Independence Day, and said that under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries, China-Georgia relations have been upgraded, reaching the historically highest level of strategic partnership, and accelerating exchanges and cooperation in various fields between China and Georgia. China is willing to work with Georgia to achieve more results in the Belt and Road cooperation between the two countries and continuously enrich the China-Georgia strategic partnership.
Ambassador of Georgia to China Paata Kalandadze said that the Georgia-China friendship has a long history. Currently, high-level bilateral relations are translating into an increasing number of cooperative achievements. Georgia will continue to firmly abide by the one-China principle, actively participate in high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, and continuously promote Georgia-China relations to new heights on the basis of mutual understanding and respect.
