On July 21, 2025, Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Bin held the political consultation between the ministries of foreign affairs of China and Georgia with Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Khvtisiashvili in Beijing.
Liu Bin said that China and Georgia are good friends and good partners. Over the 33 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the two sides have consistently advanced bilateral relations based on the principles of mutual respect, mutual trust and win‑win cooperation. Especially in recent years, under the strategic guidance of the two countries' leaders, the China-Georgia relationship has been upgraded to its highest level in history as a strategic partnership. China is ready to work with Georgia to continue deepening mutual trust, steadily advance cooperation, and promote the China-Georgia relationship to greater development at a high level.
Alexander Khvtisiashvili said that Georgia attaches great importance to developing relations with China and will continue to adhere to the one‑China principle, actively participate in high‑quality Belt and Road cooperation, expand exchanges and cooperation between the two countries in areas such as economy, trade, connectivity and people‑to‑people exchanges, strengthen coordination in international affairs, and continuously make new progress in Georgia-China relations.
