On August 20, 2025, Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Long Zhou and Director of the Immigration Department of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government Kwok Joon-fung held the 14th Annual Exchange for Hong Kong-related Consular Work in Hong Kong. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on Hong Kong-related consular protection and assistance, Hong Kong-related visas, and the facilitation of overseas travels for Hong Kong compatriots, among others.
