On August 20, 2025, Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Bin attended the Book Launch Event for "Stories of the SCO in the New Era" compiled by the Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy Research Center and delivered a speech.

Liu Bin noted that since the advent of the new era, cooperation in various fields within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) has flourished, and inspiring stories of cooperation have continuously emerged. Collecting and promoting these stories is conducive to enhancing public understanding and recognition of the SCO. The publication of "Stories of the SCO in the New Era" not only provides valuable cooperative experience, but also strengthens confidence in the win-win cooperation among the SCO. Noting that the SCO summit is about to be held in Tianjin, Liu Bin expressed the belief that with the concerted efforts of all parties, the Tianjin Summit will surely become a grand event featuring friendship, solidarity and fruitful outcomes. The SCO will surely enter a new stage of high-quality development featuring stronger solidarity, coordination, dynamism and productiveness, contributing more "SCO solutions" and "SCO strength" to the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.

SCO Deputy Secretary-General Ahmad Saidmurodzoda attended the book launch event and delivered a speech. Secretary-General of the Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy Research Center and President of China Institute of International Studies Chen Bo introduced the main content of the book. More than 100 people attended the event, including diplomatic envoys from SCO member states to China and participants from Chinese and foreign media.
