Vice Foreign Minister Miao Deyu Attends the UAE's National Day Reception

On November 27, 2025, Vice Foreign Minister Miao Deyu, upon invitation, attended the National Day reception hosted by the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in China, during which he met with UAE Ambassador to China Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi.

Miao Deyu extended his congratulations on the UAE's National Day, stating that in recent years, under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and the UAE has continued to deepen and solidify. Noting that China will host the second China-Arab States Summit next year, Miao Deyu said that China is ready to work with the UAE to make the summit a new milestone in the history of China's relations with Arab states. The current international situation is undergoing drastic changes, with actions that undermine international rules and challenge the international order emerging one after another. Noting that China and the UAE are both important countries in the Global South, Miao Deyu said that China is ready to work with the UAE to strengthen solidarity and cooperation, practice true multilateralism, safeguard the common interests of developing countries, and uphold the international system with the United Nations at its core.

Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi said that the UAE and China have a brotherly relationship, and the practical cooperation between the two countries contains huge opportunities and potential. The UAE attaches great importance to developing relations with China, is optimistic about China's economic prospects, and is willing to further increase investment in China, deepen practical cooperation across various sectors, and elevate the UAE-China comprehensive strategic partnership to new heights. The UAE supports China in hosting the second China-Arab States Summit and looks forward to enhancing communication with China to ensure the complete success of the summit. The UAE is willing to work with China to jointly uphold multilateralism and international fairness and justice.

Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi extended deep condolences to those who lost their lives in the major residential building fire in the Tai Po District, New Territories, Hong Kong, and expressed sympathy to the families of the victims and those affected by the disaster. Miao Deyu expressed gratitude for the sympathy from the UAE.
