On February 3, 2026, Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Long Zhou met with Director for French Nationals Abroad and Consular Administration of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France Pauline Carmona at the latter's request. Both sides agreed to jointly implement the important common understandings reached between the two heads of state, deepen consular exchanges and cooperation, and continuously enhance the facilitation of personnel exchanges.
