From March 26 to 28, 2026, Special Envoy for Pacific Island Countries Affairs of the Chinese Government Qian Bo visited Samoa. During the visit, Special Envoy Qian Bo met with Samoa’s Prime Minister Laaulialemalietoa Leuatea Polataivao Fosi Schmidt and other political leaders. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on China-Samoa relations and issues of mutual interest.
