Chinese President Hu Jintao Appoints New Ambassadors

On July 14, 2011, Chinese President Hu Jintao announced the appointment of the following new ambassadors in accordance with a decision made by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress.

Yang Houlan was appointed ambassador to the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, replacing Qiu Guohong.

Gao Kexiang was appointed ambassador to the Republic of Angola, replacing Zhang Bolun.

Huang Yong was appointed ambassador to the Republic of the Fiji Islands, replacing Han Zhiqiang.

Cheng Jingye was appointed permanent representative and ambassador to the United Nations and Other International Organizations in Vienna, replacing Hu Xiaodi.
