Chinese President Hu Jintao Appoints New Ambassadors

On December 20, 2011, Chinese President Hu Jintao announced the appointment of eight new ambassadors to foreign countries in accordance with a decision made by the National People's Congress Standing Committee.

Zheng Xianglin was appointed ambassador to Brunei, replacing Min Yongnian.

Li Chengwen was appointed ambassador to Suadi Arabia, replacing Yang Honglin.

Huang Minhui was appointed ambassador to Peru, replacing Zhao Wuyi.

Xie Xiaoyan was appointed ambassador to Ethiopia, replacing Gu Xiaojie.

Shi Zhongjun was appointed ambassador to Seychelles, replacing Wang Weiguo.

Huo Yuzhen was appointed ambassador to Romania, replacing Liu Zengwen.

Ye Hao was appointed ambassador to Albania, replacing Wang Junling.

Wu Haitao took the place of Wang Qun, and was appointed deputy permanent representative to the United Nations Office at Geneva and other international organizations in Switzerland & ambassador for disarmament affairs of China.
