On 25 November 2013, President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping announced the appointment of the following new Ambassadors in line with decisions adopted by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress.
Dong Xiaojun was appointed Ambassador to Jamaica, replacing Zheng Qingdian.
Chen Yuming was appointed Ambassador to Sweden, replacing Lan Lijun.
Wang Lutong was appointed Ambassador to New Zealand and the Cook Islands, as well as Ambassador to the Island of Niue, replacing Xu Jianguo.
Bian Jianqiang was appointed Ambassador to Guinea, replacing Zhao Lixing.
Liu Biwei was appointed Ambassador to Denmark, replacing Li Ruiyu.
Li Ruiyu was appointed Ambassador to Italy and San Marino, replacing Ding Wei.
Yu Jianhua was appointed Permanent Representative and Ambassador to the World Trade Organization, as well as Deputy Permanent Representative of the Permanent Mission to the United Nations Office at Geneva and other International Organizations in Switzerland, replacing Yi Xiaozhun.
