President Xi Jinping Appoints New Ambassadors

On November 19, 2014, President Xi Jinping of the People’s Republic of China announced the appointment of the following new Ambassadors in line with decisions adopted by the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress.

I. Yu Fulong was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Sultanate of Oman, replacing Wu Jiuhong.

II. Li Lianhe was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of the Sudan, replacing Luo Xiaoguang.

III. Qiu Xuejun was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the State of Eritrea, replacing Niu Qiang.

IV. Yin Lixian (female) was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Seychelles, replacing Shi Zhongjun.

V. Lu Huiying (female) was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Mali, replacing Cao Zhongming.

VI. Tian Erlong was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Armenia, replacing Tian Changchun.
