Chinese Ambassador to Samoa Fei Mingxing Meets the Samoan Performing Troupe Going to China

On July 22, Chinese Ambassador to Samoa Fei Mingxing and Samoan Ambassador to China Luamanuvae Albert Marina jointly met with the Samoan performing troupe going to China at the Chinese Embassy in Apia.

Ambassador Fei briefed on the China-Samoa relations and the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, encouraged the troupe to demonstrate the wonderful island culture to the Chinese audience and present a special gift from the Samoan people on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, taking the opportunity to see and understand China with their eyes and hearts, and tell their unique China stories after returning to Samoa.

Ambassador Marina hopes that the performing troupe cherish the opportunity to visit and perform in China, promote cultural exchanges between the two countries, and set a good start for the series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Samoa and China next year.     

The representative of the troupe expressed gratitude for the invitations from Chengdu and Qingdao, stating that the entire troupe is fully prepared and looks forward to making contributions to enhancing understanding and friendship between the two peoples through their visit and performances.
