On July 24, 2024, Chinese Ambassador to Canada H.E. Wang Di visited Maple Leaf Foods in Toronto, accompanied by Chinese Consul General Mr. Luo Weidong and Minister Counsellor for Economic and Commercial Affairs of the Chinese Embassy in Canada Mr. Sun Jiwen.

Ambassador Wang briefed on the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and stressed that China will further deepen reform comprehensively, pursue high-standard opening up, and has put forward over 300 major reform measures that cover various areas. This will bring more opportunities to Canadian companies including agri-food companies. We hope that the Canadian business community can speak up as a voice of objectivity and reason to advance China-Canada relations and benefit the two peoples.
