On 27 November, H.E. Wang Yu, Chinese Ambassador to Somalia, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, President of the Federal Republic of Somalia. The two sides exchanged views on the development of China-Somalia strategic partnership.

Ambassador Wang underlined the importance attached by the Chinese side to the cooperation with Somalia, and the readiness to work jointly with the Somali side to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state during the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Beijing summit.

President Mohamud expressed Somalia’s readiness to enhance cooperation with China in various fields in the context of the two country’s strategic partnership.
