On 24thNovember, Mr. Wang Haitao,Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in BruneiDarussalamwas invited to attend the 93thAnniversary Celebration of the Chung Hua Middle School Kuala Belait, and had friendly exchanges with Chairman Lau Shiew Yuen, Principal Dr Chong Kui Kian and representatives from various Chinese associations and schools.

CDA Wang spoke highly of the contributions made by the school for promoting traditional Chinese culture and people-to-people exchanges between China and Brunei, and wished the school to continue to deepen exchanges with Chinese schools and contribute to bilateral relations. CDA Wang also introduced the main contents of the 3rd Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the recent visa policy of Chinese government to streamline people-to-people exchanges.  

Chairman Lau, Principal Dr Chong and representatives from Chinese communities appreciated the long-term support from the Embassy, welcomed the upgraded visa policy and expressed readiness to promote Brunei-China friendship and exchanges.

During the celebration, Chargé d’Affaires Wangalso donated textbooks to the school and met with the Chinese volunteer teachers.
