On September 20, Ambassador Chu Maoming attended the handover ceremony for China's donation of medical supplies to Dominica. Present at the event were Dominica's Minister of State in the Ministry of Health, Hon. Dr. Cassandra Williams, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Chief Executive Officer and Director of the Dominica-China Friendship Hospital, along with other key representatives. Also in attendance were a delegation from the Guangdong Health Commission, the Chinese medical team in Dominica, and Mr. Sun Xinhua, Director of Economic and Commercial Affairs of the Chinese Embassy.
Hon. Dr. Cassandra Williams expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chinese government and people for their generous support in critical times and areas of need. She also commended the Chinese medical team for their significant contributions to improving Dominica's healthcare system.
Ambassador Chu emphasized that healthcare is a vital component of the practical cooperation between China and Dominica. He highlighted that the dispatch of Chinese medical experts and the donation of medical supplies reflect China's strong commitment to enhancing the health and well-being of the Dominican people, as well as the deep friendship between the two nations. China remains committed to strengthening cooperation with Dominica in the health sector and working together to build a global community of health for all.
