On September 20, Ambassador Zhao Weiping delivered remarks at the Staff Rotating Ceremony on invitation, which was hosted by Intermediate Hospital Katutura in Windhoek for the 15th and 16th Chinese medical teams. Mr. Jeremiah Nghipundjua, Acting Executive Director of the Ministry of Health and Social Services and Dr. Nelago Amagulu, Medical Superintendent of Intermediate Hospital Katutura attended the event.

Ambassador Zhao thanked the Ministry of Health and Social Services for its support to the Chinese medical teams, praised the excellent work of the 15th Medical Team, and hoped the 16th Medical Team would carry the torch on and continue to serve the Namibian people with superb professionalism.

Ambassador Zhao said, at the recently concluded FOCAC, Chinese President Xi Jinping announced ten partnership actions for modernization with Africa, one of which is the Partnership Action for Health. China-Namibia health cooperation will be deepened in the years to come, and The Chinese Embassy in Namibia will continue to facilitate the friendly exchanges and practical cooperation in the field of healthcare between the two countries.
