On 8 October 2024, Her Excellency Yan Jiarong, Chinese Ambassador to The Bahamas held a working meeting with Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The Bahamas, Ambassador Jerusa Ali. The two ambassadors had in-depth discussions on topics including priorities of bilateral relations development in the next phase, cooperation in the United Nations as well as the recently concluded UN Summit of the Future and the General Debate of the UNGA.
