On 1 November, Consul General He Ying attended the 2024 New Zealand International Construction Industry Expo & Summit and delivered a speech, accompanied by Xu Li, Director of the Bilateral Division, and Wang Jinjun, Consul for trade and economic affairs.

Consul General He said in her speech that China’s economy is resilient and its steady progress has injected confidence and impetus into the global economy. The Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee passed a resolution to further deepen reform in a comprehensive manner and promote Chinese modernization, which will provide more development opportunities for New Zealand. It is hoped that with the active efforts of the NZ Chinese Building Association and the joint support of the building and construction industries of both countries, the Expo will continue to grow and expand to better benefit the people of both countries.

Also present were Vanessa Wernink, a member of the New Zealand Parliament, and Xu Li, president of the New Zealand Chinese Building Industry Association, who delivered speeches.

The New Zealand International Building Industry Expo & Summit is organised by the New Zealand Chinese Building Industry Association, and this year’s event attracted over 100 exhibitors.
