On November 30, 2024, Consul General Xu Wei met with the Chairman of the Islamic City Council of Bandar Abbas Issa Abbasi.

Consul General Xu communicated the guiding principles of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, and introduced Chinese policies on ethnic affairs upon request. Xu said, the Islamic City Council of Bandar Abbas attaches great importance to the relation with China and supports people of various sectors to strengthen friendly exchanges with China, fostering a good atmosphere for deepening cooperation in various fields. The Consulate General stands ready to stay in close contact with the City Council to facilitate cooperation at subnational levels, which will benefit our peoples and forge closer bonds between them.
