On 4 December, 2024, H.E. Tong Defa met with Madam Aurore Rusiga, Representative and Country Director for World Food Programme to Ghana. Mrs. Shen Lihong, Security Advisor and Representative of the United Nations Department of Safety and Security to Ghana, also attended the meeting.

The two sides exchanged views on food security and poverty alleviation, and expressed willingness to better promote resilience in Ghana.
