Chinese Ambassador to Sweden Cui Aimin Attends China-Sweden Young Scientists’ Cross-Disciplinary Exchange and Chinese Government Award Ceremony for Outstanding Self-Financed Students Abroad

On December 6, 2024, Ambassador Cui Aimin attended the China-Sweden Young Scientists’ Cross-Disciplinary Exchange and the Chinese Government Award Ceremony for Outstanding Self-Financed Students Abroad held by the Chinese Embassy in Sweden. During the event, Ambassador Cui presented certificates to the awardees and letters of appreciation to their supervisors. Nearly 60 participants, including professors and students from eight Swedish universities, were present at the event.

Ambassador Cui said in his remarks that China and Sweden share a long-standing history of exchanges and collaboration in education and research. He noted that in recent years, an increasing number of Chinese students studying in Sweden have made positive contributions to the friendly relations between the two countries and their economic and social development. Ambassador Cui underscored the importance of intercultural and interdisciplinary dialogue and cooperation in addressing difficult development issues and global challenges faced by humanity. He encouraged Chinese students in Sweden to forge ahead with determination, strive for excellence and bring new vitality into China-Sweden exchanges and cooperation across various fields.

Representatives of the awardees and their supervisors delivered remarks, expressing their commitment to further advancing educational and research exchanges and cooperation between China and Sweden. The participants also engaged in lively interactions around the research achievements of the awardees.
