The ministers noted that the scholarship recipients are part of Dominica's bright future for development and living witnesses to the enduring friendship between Dominica and China. They encouraged the students to seize opportunities for self-improvement and to aspire to become pillars of the nation in the future.
Ambassador Chu emphasized the shared commitment of the Chinese and Dominican governments to fostering youth and advancing education. Over the past 20 years of diplomatic relations, the two nations have undertaken numerous practical cooperation in these areas. By quoting a famous saying in China that “If the young people are strong, the country will be strong,” he expressed China's readiness to work with Dominica to implement the key consensus reached by their leaders, making the fruits of their cooperation create opportunities for young people to serve their country and realize their dreams.
