On 2nd December, Ambassador Qi Zhenhong paid a call on Chief Prelate of AmarapuraChapter Most Ven. Karagoda Uyangoda Maithri Murthi Thero. Mr. Qin Ligong, Chief of Political Section of the Embassy and Mr. Dharmawardena, President of Sri Lanka-China Buddhist Friendship Association, attended the meeting.

Ambassador Qi congratulated Most Ven. Karagoda Uyangoda Maithri Murthi Thero on his official appointment as the Chief Prelate of AmarapuraChapter. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on promoting China-Sri Lanka friendship, strengthening Buddhist exchanges and cooperation between the two countries.
