On February 17, Ambassador Xiao Jianguo met with the Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew, had exchanges about the implementation of the consensus reached by the Heads of State of the two countries and the joint statement.

Ambassador Xiao highly appreciated the fruitful results of His Majesty's state visit to China early this month, and thanked especially the Ministry of Finance and Economy for its support and cooperation in the preparatory stage of the results.

Dato Dr. Amin Liew gladly recalled the memory of accompanying His Majesty in China, thanked the Chinese side for the warm hospitality, and expressed his appreciation for the successful opening of the Asian Winter Games and the exhibition of ice and snow sculpture.

Both sides agreed that the consensus of the Heads of State and the joint statement pointed out the direction for the development of the relations between the two countries and practical cooperation in various fields, and both sides would actively cooperate to promote the implementation of the visit results, contributing to the high-quality development of the relations between the two countries.
