On 15 February 2025, Chinese Consul-General in Brisbane Dr RUAN Zongze was invited to attend the Chinese New Year Celebration hosted by Australian National Chinese Women’s Federation(ANCWF) and delivered a speech. Ms Angie Bell MP, Mr Hermann Vorster MP, Ms Meaghan Scanlon MP, Mr Rob Molhoek MP, Cr Joseph Wilkinson, Cr Dan Doran and more than 100 members from local Chinese community attended the celebration.

Dr Ruan extended Chinese New Year greetings to the guests. He fully recognized ANCWF’s contribution to promoting Chinese culture and enhancing mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of China and Australia. The Chinese Consulate-General in Brisbane is committed to working closely with all walks of life in Queensland to promote China-Queensland friendly cooperation into a golden era.

The guests highly praised the contributions made by the Chinese community in Australia, and emphasized that Queensland and China’s economies are deeply connected. The two sides should enhance mutual understanding and invest in long-term relationships.
