On the evening of February 22nd, Chinese Embassy in Fiji held Ne Zha 2 movie night in Suva to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Fiji. H.E. Ambassador Zhou Jian, Cabinet Ministers, Members of Parliament, media, overseas Chinese and nearly 400 Fijian citizens attended the event.
In his speech, Ambassador Zhou Jian said that Ne Zha 2 has recently topped worldwide animation movie box office ranking, bringing a visual feast of Chinese traditional culture to the world, and successfully illustrating the belief of “I am the master of my own fate!” through Chinese mythological character. As this year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Fiji, we hope that the two countries, will carry forward Ne Zha’s spirit of bravery and hard work to create a bright future for China-Fiji relationship.
After the screening, guests actively exchanged views with Ambassador Zhou Jian. They lauded the film for its captivating traditional Chinese aesthetics, profound cultural connotations, and how they resonated with Nezha’s spirit of striving for equality and exuding positivity. Moreover, the world-class special effects were also highly commended.
