On 27th February, Ambassador Xiao Jianguo was invited to attend the 2025 Chinese New Year Gathering of Chung Hwa Middle School Alumni Association, and had friendly exchanges with President of the Association Mr. Lim Wee Huat, Yang Berhormat Pehin Kapitan Lela Diraja Dato Paduka Goh King Chin, as well as members of the Alumni Association.

Ambassador Xiao extended warm greetings to the guests and spoke highly of the important contributions by the alumni of the Association in advancing Brunei's economic and social development as well as China-Brunei relations. Ambassador Xiao also expressed his expectation that the Association could keep playing a positive role in advancing bilateral relations by uniting all alumni of Chung Hwa Middle School together for a stronger force.
