On 17th March, Ambassador Fan Yong paid a courtesy call on Minister of Trade and Entrepreneurship Hon. Ntsima and the Assistant Minister Hon. Mathoothe. The two sides exchanged views on strengthening bilateral economic and commercial cooperation between China and Botswana.

Ambassador Fan stressed that China and Botswana have great potential for cooperation in various fields, including trade and investment. China is willing to take the implementation of the  ten partnership initiatives as an opportunity to deepen and solidify practical cooperation between the two countries, providing new driving forces for win-win partnership.

Hon. Ntsima thanks China for its valuable support for Botswana's economic and social development. He said that China is an important trading partner for Botswana. He hopes both sides will continue exploring new areas of cooperation to jointly promote the development of bilateral economic and trade relations.
