On March 24, Ambassador Liu Weimin met with Pita Taufatofua, the Governor of Ha’apai. The two sides had friendly exchanges on deepening the sister-city relationship between Dongguan and Ha’apai and expanding practical cooperation.

Ambassador Liu stated that China attaches high importance on friendly exchanges and cooperation with Ha’apai. In recent years, Dongguan and Ha’apai have maintained frequent interactions and achieved fruitful outcomes in various fields. China is willing to continue strengthening communication and coordination with Ha’apai and inject new momentum into the sister-city relationship.

Taufatofua expressed gratitude for Dongguan’s long-standing support to Ha’apai’s development. He recalled his visit to Dongguan and highly commend the vibrant development of the local manufacturing sector. He welcomed Dongguan delegation to visit Ha’apai, and looked forward to more practical cooperation.
