Chinese Ambassador to Sweden Cui Aimin Attends the Welcome Reception for New Defense Attaché Held by Chinese Embassy in Sweden

On April 25, 2025, Ambassador Cui Aimin hosted a welcome reception for the new Defense Attaché, Senior Colonel Yuan Lin. More than 100 people attended the reception, including people from the Swedish Armed Forces, the Defence Attaché Corps in Sweden, various sectors of the Swedish society, and overseas Chinese in Sweden.

Ambassador Cui stated that China has always firmly upheld the independent foreign policy of peace, and in the face of great changes unseen in a century, China is ready to join hands with other countries to promote peace and development, and oppose acts of unilateralism and bullying. Ambassador Cui introduced Senior Colonel Yuan Lin’s background and underscored that he would like to take the 75th anniversary of China-Sweden diplomatic relations as an opportunity to further promote the development of bilateral relations, including military exchanges.

Senior Colonel Yuan reviewed the fruitful achievements of China-Sweden military exchanges over the past 75 years, and expressed his willingness to continue to promote exchanges and cooperation between the two militaries from a new starting point and contribute to the stable development of bilateral relations.

All guests congratulated Senior Colonel Yuan on his assumption of office and commended China’s positive contribution to the maintenance of world peace, stability and prosperity. The atmosphere was warm and friendly.
