Chinese Ambassador to Sweden Cui Aimin Attends 2025 "International Chinese Language Day" Event

On April 26, 2025, Ambassador Cui Aimin attended and delivered remarks at the 2025 "International Chinese Language Day" event held in Stockholm. The event was attended by more than 100 people, including the editor of the magazine FokusKina Mr. Johan Fresk, renowned Swedish painter Ms. Birgitta Muhr, educators, cultural figures, teachers, and students.

Ambassador Cui stated that the Chinese language is the embodiment of wisdom passed down through generations, serves as a cultural treasure that China shares with the world, and represents a spiritual asset that fosters mutual learning and shared prosperity of the entire humanity. Ambassador Cui expressed the hope that more Swedish friends would explore the charm of the Chinese language through study and practice, and experience the cultural richness and philosophical depth of the language.

During the event, attendees enjoyed lectures on Chinese linguistics and traditional arts, an introduction to the HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test), and participated in cultural workshops on "Lanting · Yaji" traditional Chinese ink painting, calligraphy, printmaking, and tea art.

The event was co-hosted by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation and the China Cultural Center in Stockholm, and this year’s event was themed "Chinese Language: A Gift Across Time and Space."
