On May 21, 2025, Ambassador Cui Aimin delivered a speech at Linköping University at the invitation of UPF Linköping, and interacted with over 70 students.

Ambassador Cui gave an overview of China’s efforts to promote Chinese modernization through high-quality development. He elaborated on China’s independent foreign policy of peace as well as its win-win strategy of opening up in the context of current international and regional issues. He emphasized that China remains a staunch force for peace, stability, and progress, bringing certainty and positive energy to the world. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Sweden, and the 50th anniversary of China-EU diplomatic ties. China is ready to work with both Sweden and the EU to carry forward the traditional friendship, strengthen exchanges and cooperation, and open a new chapter in friendly cooperation. Ambassador Cui also responded to questions on China-U.S. relations, China-Africa relations, and issues related to the Middle East and the Arctic. The discussion was lively and engaging.

The students also watched a video celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Sweden. They said that the event enriched their understanding of Chinese history, culture, and foreign policy, and expressed hope to continue deepening their knowledge of China.
