On May 20, 2025, President of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides met with Ambassador Liu Yantao. They had an in-depth and friendly exchange of views on China-Cyprus relations, China-EU relations, as well as international and regional issues of shared interest. The meeting was also attended by Counsellor Zhou Yunliang of the Chinese Embassy.
