On May 20th, Ambassador Zhang Lizhong attended the 1st Uganda-China Coffee Awareness Tour and delivered a speech. Amb. H.E. Oliver Wonekha, Ugandan Ambassador to China, and Mr.  Bagiire Vincent Waiswa, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Counsellor Wang Jianxun of Chinese Embassy and coffee stakeholders from Uganda and China also attended.

Ambassador Zhang congratulated the successful holding of 1st Uganda-China Coffee Awareness Tour, introduced the achievements made by China and Uganda jointly in implementing the Ten Partnership Actions since the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. He emphasized that China is committed to high-quality development and high-level opening up. China is willing to work with Uganda to contentiously implement the outcomes of the 2024 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and enhance cooperation in trade and investment, thus to promote the common development of the two nations.

Uganda side highly appreciated China's investment in Uganda, hope to take this event as an opportunity to integrate the advantages of Uganda’s coffee and Chinese market, continually strengthen relevant trade and investment, and lay a solid foundation for mutual trust and understanding between the two nations.
