Consul General Chen Shijie warmly received several award-winning participants of the “Chinese Bridge” competition at his residence on 31 May, including Wang Xiaoshuai（Luka Yelish） from the University of Auckland, Oliver Blaom from ACG Parnell College, and Sean Dohyun Lee from St Peter’s College, along with their Chinese language teachers Wang Danping, Huang Tian, and Zhang Bingmei.

Consul General Chen congratulated the students on their outstanding performance in the competition and encouraged them to pursue their dreams, continue strengthening their Chinese language skills, deepen their understanding of Chinese culture, and become ambassadors of friendship between China and New Zealand. The three teachers shared their experiences in teaching Chinese and expressed their commitment to further promoting Chinese language education and nurturing more young people who understand and appreciate China.
