On June 13, Consul General Li Nan visited South West College in Northern Ireland. He met with Principal and Chief Executive Ms Celine McCartan MBE, attended the college’s annual Celebration of Success, and presented prizes for the Chinese language competition.
Consul General Li warmly congratulated the award-winning students and highly commended the enthusiasm of young people in learning Chinese. He encouraged them to continue studying the Chinese language and culture, and to serve as ambassadors of friendship between China and Northern Ireland. He also expressed his appreciation to the college for its active contributions to promoting Chinese language education and cultural exchange between the two sides , and pointed out that Chinese Consulate General is ready to support and facilitate study tours to China for students, helping to strengthen mutual understanding and friendship between the young people of China and Northern Ireland.
Following the Celebration, both sides exchanged views on expanding education exchange and cooperation.
