On June 17, the Permanent Mission of China to the United Nations and Other International Organizations inVienna held the first China-GRULAC heads of Mission dialogue on multilateral affairs in VIC. Sixteen GRULAC permanent missions attended the event .

Ambassador Li Song promoted President Xi Jinping’s keynote address at the Opening Ceremony of the Fourth Ministerial Meeting of the China-CELAC Forum, the vision of building a community with a shared future for mankind and the three major global initiatives. He stated that China is willing to enhance communication and cooperation with GRULAC countries within Vienna multilateral platforms, actively support the UN, jointly reaffirm true multilateralism and promote international development cooperation to benefit the Global South.

The GRULAC HoMs highly regard for China’s important role in the UN. They noted that China’s key concepts and initiatives closely align with the development aspirations of the region. Both parties would like to further deepen practical cooperation across various fields and jointly uphold the UN 2030 SDGs.
