Consul General Chen Shijie attended the opening ceremony of Silver Fern Farms Farmer Conference upon invitation on 15 July. He had exchanges with Co-Chairs Anna Nelson and Junlong Li, CEO Dan Boulton, and some of the farmer representatives.

Chen noted that the CEO of Silver Fern Farms recently joined Prime Minister Luxon in his visit to China and achieved fruitful commercial outcomes. As China continues to advance high-level opening-up, New Zealand enterprises, including Silver Fern Farms, are welcome to actively explore the Chinese market. It was hoped that the company would seize development opportunities, strengthen its presence in China, and contribute further to the deepening of China–New Zealand economic and trade relations. The Chinese Consulate-General in Auckland will continue to serve as a bridge and facilitator, supporting more New Zealand businesses in conducting mutually beneficial cooperation with China.
The Silver Fern Farms management expressed that China has been the company’s largest global market for consecutive years. As New Zealand’s largest red meat processing, marketing, and export enterprise, the company attaches great importance to cooperation with China and remains committed to providing Chinese consumers with premium products.

Themed “Creating Goodness Together,” the Conference attracted hundreds of farmers, suppliers, and industry leaders.
