On August 5, H.E. Ambassador Liu Jin paid a courtesy call on Hon. Sering Modou Njie, the newly-appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation And Gambians Abroad of the Republic of The Gambia. Ambassador Liu delivered a congratulatory telegram from H.E. Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Foreign Minister of the People's Republic of China, and congratulated Hon. Minister Njie on his new appointment.

The two sides exchanged views on bilateral exchanges and cooperation, and both expressed their willingness and commitment to implement the important consensus of the two Heads of States and the outcomes of the FOCAC Summit, aiming to take bilateral relations to a new level.
