On August 28, the Chinese Embassy in Botswana held a special film screening commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. Ambassador Fan Yong attended the event and delivered a speech. Approximately 100 people attended, including friends from all walks of life in Botswana, members of the diplomatic corps, as well as representatives of Chinese communities and organizations.

Ambassador Fan stated in his speech that China was the main battlefield in the East during the World Anti-Fascist War. During the darkest moments of World War II, the Chinese people and other peoples pursuing peace and justice from all over the world shouldered the sacred mission of resisting fascist aggression and safeguarding human justice. Facing today's turbulent world, people of all countries should remember history, cherish peace, jointly safeguard the achievements of victory in World War II, and work together to promote world peace, stability, cooperation and development.

Screenings included excellent films such as "The Sinking of the Lisbon Maru", "My Country, My Parents" and "The Message". The audience was deeply moved, expressing their commitment to remembering history, honoring heros, and cherishing peace.
